Western Digital to acquire Tegile Systems

Western Digital is acquiring Tegile Systems, a provider of flash and persistent-memory storage solutions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition is expected to close the first week of September. The Tegile team will be joining the Western Digital team.

Founded in 2010, Tegile  is a privately held enterprise storage vendor headquartered in Silicon Valley, California. The company has raised a reported $178 million in venture funding, including a $33 million infusion from Western Digital.
