Walmart is making its products available online outside its own website for the first time. The world’s biggest retailer has inked a partnership with Google, under which Walmart products will be available for purchase via the Google ecosystem of channels – through voice with Assistant on Google Home or on the Google Express website or app. Walmart will be launching on Google Express in late-September.
In a blog post, Walmart said it expects to leverage the company’s 4,700 U.S. stores and fulfillment network to create customer experiences that don’t currently exist within voice shopping.
