Twitter has unveiled its first transparency report, an effort, the microblogging platform says is inspired from Google.
The Twitter transparency report sheds light on government requests received for user information or to withhold content, and DMCA takedown notices, and provides insight into how the company reacted to those requests.
Twitter says it has received more government requests in the first half of 2012, than in the entire year, last year.
Twitter will be publishing an updated version of this information twice a year.
