Telexistence raises $170M

Telexistence has raised $170 million in a series B financing round.

Existing investors Monoful Venture Partners, KDDI Open Innovation Fund, and Airbus Ventures invested in Telexistence’s latest round, along with new investors SoftBank Group, HH-CTBC Partnership, and Globis Capital Partners.

In another development, Telexistence says it has formed a strategic partnership with SoftBank Robotic Group, a subsidiary of SoftBank, with a particular focus on speeding up commercialization in North America.

Telexistence is also initiating a partnership with Foxconn to establish production technology and commence mass production of its next-generation model, referred to as “GHOST”.

Kenichi Yoshida from SoftBank Robotic Group and Ryohei Nomoto from Globis Capital Partners are joining the Telexistence board of directors in connection with the funding.
