New Relic has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Francisco Partners and TPG. The acquisition will be an all-cash transaction, valuing New Relic at approximately $6.5 billion.

New Relic, a leading provider of software analytics, has raised $100 million in financing. BlackRock and Passport Capital led the round, with T. Rowe Price Associates, and Wellington Management also participating. New Relic has raised $215 million to date. New Reli says it currently analyzes over 200 billion data points per day for over three million application instances from tens of thousands of customers.
