SOE Announces 2012 G.I.R.L. Scholarship Winner

Quinne Larsen of Northridge, Calif. has been named the winner of the 2012 Gamers in Real Life (G.I.R.L.) Scholarship awarded by Sony Online Entertainment (SOE).  Now in its fifth year, the scholarship program was established to encourage women to pursue careers in video game development and design.

Ms. Larsen, a character animation major at the California Institute of the Arts, was awarded a $10,000 scholarship to use toward her college tuition and other educational expenses. She has also accepted a 10-week paid internship at SOE’s headquarters in San Diego.
