Lumiata Raises $6M

Lumiata, a start-up that makes software that creates personalized treatment recommendations based on patients' health data, has raised $6 million in Series A funding. BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners and Sandbox Industries join Khosla Ventures as investors in the round. Matt Downs from Sandbox is joining the Lumiata board. Lumiata has raised $10 million to date.

Blue River Technology Raises $10M

Blue River Technology, a company working on robotics for the agriculture sector, has raised $10 million in a Series A-1 funding round, led by Data Collective. Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors joined the round as a new investor, which also saw participation from existing investor Khosla Ventures.

PayNearMe Raises $20M

Electronic cash transaction network PayNearMe has closed a $20 million round of financing led by GSV Capital. August Capital, Khosla Ventures, Maveron and True Ventures also participated in the round. PayNearMe says it will use the funds to continue expansion into existing categories, while launching into new vertical markets.

Okta Raises $27 Million Series D Round Of Investments

Enterprise-grade identity management service Okta has closed a $27 million Series D funding round led by returning investor Sequoia Capital. Existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners and Khosla Ventures also participated in the investments.
