Savi receives multi-million dollar order to deliver last tactical mile visibility for DoD

Alexandria, Virginia-based Savi has received a multimillion dollar order from a government military contractor and supplier of products and services to military forces, intelligence agencies and defense contractors worldwide, said the company in a statement.

Savi will provide active RFID (aRFID) technology powered by its ISO standard reader boards to offer last tactical mile visibility of military assets, extending the range of the RF-ITV network, according to the company.

The ISO reader board is a lightweight device that can detect aRFID-tagged assets up to 300 feet away and relay data to the appropriate information management systems, says Savi.
