Perforce Software, backed by Clearlake Capital and Francisco Partners, has acquired Methodics, a provider of intellectual property lifecycle management and traceability solutions for enterprises.

Perforce and Methodics previously had a strategic partnership in place, providing an integrated solution to manage IP from design all the way through production and reuse in the semiconductor industry, Perforce said in a statement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
