Austin-based Ontic, a security company that provides an intelligence security software platform, has raised $12 million in a Series A funding. The investment was led by Felicis Ventures. Existing investors Silverton Partners, Floodgate and Village Global, also participated in the round.

Ontic’s platform connects to real-time and historical data points and provides curated access to smart indicators that deliver relevant intelligence to security teams, according to the company. Ontic says it helps corporate security and executive protection teams keep external threats at bay, to internal assessments for early indication of workplace violence or insider threats.
