MongoDB has appointed Lena Smart as the company’s first chief information security officer.
Ms. Smart joins the company to oversee MongoDB’s ongoing product security efforts, the company said in a statement. She will report to MongoDB CTO and co-founder Eliot Horowitz.
Before joining MongoDB, Ms. Smart was the global chief information security officer for Tradeweb. Previously, she served as CIO and chief security officer for the New York Power Authority.
Ms. Smart is also the founding partner of Cybersecurity at MIT Sloan (CAMS). She has previously served as a sector chief with FBI InfraGard.
