Microsoft introduced Windows 11 on Thursday. The new edition features a simplified design and user experience, writes Panos Panay, chief product officer, Windows + Devices, in a blog post.
Windows 11 comes with a new Start button and taskbar. Microsoft is also introducing Snap Layouts, Snap Groups and Desktops. Start will show recent files, irrespective of platform or device. Chat from Microsoft Teams is now integrated in the taskbar.
Windows 11 on a tablet without a keyboard, has a new experience for touch, including more space between the icons in the taskbar.
