Lenovo Launches Rugged Laptops For Students

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

A rugged computer is a computer that has been specifically toughened up to withstand harsher environments and rough usage. You will typically find rugged computers in say the military or manufacturing, and now in the hands of students.

Lenovo has launched a rugged laptop for students starting at $469. The ThinkPad X130e laptop has a top cover rubber bumper to absorb impacts. The laptop also has stronger hinges, and reinforced and recessed ports, among other things.

Other specifications of the X130e laptops include a choice between Intel and AMD processors, custom colors, and some 8.5 hours of battery life. These laptops also come with RapidBoot technology, and Lenovo says, will boot in less than twenty seconds. You can find the full list of specifications in Lenovo’s website here.
