IDC Frontier, a data-center provider in Japan, has selected HP Networking solutions to enhance its network infrastructure to meet increasing demand for cloud services, says HP.
IDC Frontier has provided public cloud services to Japanese organizations since 2009. Over this time, the company has experienced tremendous growth in the number of its cloud services customers, which has put a strain on its existing IT systems. IDC Frontier needed to enhance its network infrastructure to accommodate more users for its new on-demand public cloud offering, NOAH Self Type. The company selected the HP 5820 Switch Series for its capability to scale seamlessly, enabling increased network bandwidth across its nine data centers throughout Japan.
IDC Frontier connected its data centers using the HP Intelligent Resilient Framework, an HP virtualization technology that allows multiple switches to operate as a single switch.
