Itron using SAP HANA for its Active Grid solutions

Itron, a technology and services company that offers products and services on energy and water resource management, has selected the SAP HANA platform for its Active Grid solutions. The company will be running its meter data management solution on SAP’s digital core.

“Today, utilities need to be more efficient and adaptable than ever to keep up with new regulatory mandates, a growing consumer population, evolving business models and an influx of data from the Internet of Things, among other pervasive industry trends,” said Lloyd Adams, national vice president of utilities, SAP, speaking on the customer acqusition, in a statement.
