Intel and Taiwanese fabless semiconductor company MediaTek have inked a strategic partnership to manufacture chips using Intel Foundry Services’ (IFS) advanced process technologies.

MediaTek plans to use the process technologies to manufacture multiple chips for smart edge devices, according to the companies.

MediaTek has an existing 5G data card business partnership with Intel.
