Intel launched its 11th-generation Core S-series desktop processors (code-named “Rocket Lake-S”) worldwide on Tuesday. The company also showed off its flagship Core i9-11900K.
Engineered on the Cypress Cove architecture, the Core S-series desktop processors bring up to 19% gen-over-gen instructions per cycle (IPC) improvement for the highest frequency cores, Intel said in a statement. The processors also offer Deep Learning Boost and Vector Neural Network Instructions support to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) inference, says the chipmaker.
The 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11900K features up to 5.3 gigahertz, eight cores, 16 threads and 16 megabytes of Smart Cache. The unlocked desktop processors supports fast memory speeds with DDR4-3200, according to Intel.
