Google Reportedly Buying Twitch For Around $1B

Twitch

Google is reportedly acquiring video-game streaming service Twitch for $1 billion.  According to a report in Variety by Todd Spangler, YouTube and Twitch have reached a preliminary all-cash deal.  Twitch is a San Francisco-based company, and was started in  2011 by Justin Kan and Emmett Shear, co-founders of Justin.tv.  The company has raised around $45 million of funding till date. The platform boasts over 45 million visitors every month.
