Google+ Gets A New Look, Added Features

Google+_newGoogle+ will be sporting a new look. The social sharing site from Google, is getting enhancements in three key areas: Stream, Hangouts and Photos.

Changes include a multi-column layout, bigger media, animations, addition of hashtags to the content streams, stand-alone Hangouts, and new photo features.

190 million people are now active in the Google+ stream, and 390 million are active across Google (+1’ing apps in Google Play, making video calls in Gmail, sharing videos from YouTube), says Vic Gundotra, senior vice president with Google.

The changes will begin rolling out over the next week.
