FedEx Expands SenseAware Service

FedEx-SenseAware

FedEx is internationally expanding its SenseAware service, which enables near real-time visibility into sensitive and high-value shipments. Customers will now be able to monitor shipments throughout an additional 14 European countries and Canada, and on board flights from three additional commercial air carriers, Air France, Cathay Pacific and Qantas Airways.

Launched in the U.S. in 2009, SenseAware combines an online application with a multi-sensor device, letting customers track high-value or environmentally-sensitive products. In addition to location monitoring, the service can also monitor temperature, light exposure, relative humidity, shock and barometric pressure.
