Facebook Nearby Friends Feature Lets You Locate Your Friends

Facebook-Nearby-Friends

Facebook is rolling out a new feature called Nearby Friends that can alert users if their friends are nearby. The feature is optional, and for it to work, the user’s friend has to have ‘Nearby Friends’ enabled as well.

If they turn on Nearby Friends, users will occasionally be notified when friends are nearby, says Facebook. For example, if you’re headed to the movies, Nearby Friends can let you know if friends are nearby so you can see the movie together or meet up afterward. When Nearby Friends is on, users can also see when their friends are traveling, and where to.

Nearby Friends will be available on Android and iPhone in the US over the coming weeks.
