Esri, Alibaba Cloud partnering on collaborative solutions

Spatial analytics company Esri has entered into a collaborative agreement with Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of the Alibaba Group. The agreement brings together engineers from both organizations, to deliver solutions for Esri technology implementation on Alibaba Cloud.

Esri’s sole authorized distributor in Mainland China, Esri China, has helped customers implement Esri technology on Alibaba Cloud, says Esri. The Ningxia Land and Resources Bureau built a geospatial data platform using Esri’s ArcGIS technology on Alibaba Cloud. The  organization consolidated their electronic map data, imagery, survey, and three-dimensional data into a catalog for the Ningxia Autonomous Region government.
