Dell Opens Hyperscale Innovation Center Collaborating With EBay

DSE_EBayDell has opened a new innovation center located at the company’s Austin campus, the Evergreen Innovation Center, to work on hyperscale data center solutions.

EBay has been working with Dell on next-generation engineering concepts and technology development.  The innovation center will enable the companies to investigate every aspect of the data center, from the CPU to cooling techniques, says Dell.

Earlier this year, eBay released details of its approach to analyze efficiency of data centers through a new methodology. Called Digital Service Efficiency (DSE), it provides a  view of infrastructure performance in the data center.
