Cisco To Acquire BroadHop

Cisco is acquiring Denver, Colorado-based BroadHop, a provider of policy control and service management technology for carrier networks worldwide.

The BroadHop team will be integrated into Cisco’s Service Provider Networking Group, reporting to Shailesh Shukla, vice president and general manager of the company’s Software and Applications Group.

The size of the transaction was not disclosed.
