Big Fish Buys Self Aware Games

Big Fish Games has acquired mobile-social game developer Self Aware Games and its parent company, Social Concepts. The size of the deal was not shared. Self Aware Games will remain in Oakland and establishes Big Fish’s first Bay Area office.

Self Aware Games was founded by Colin Liotta and Seppo Helava, and currently employs 25 people in Oakland, California. Big Fish Games had year-over-year organic revenue growth of 30% in 2011, marking nine consecutive years of record revenue, says the company.
