Amazon has entered into a definitive merger agreement with One Medical, a national primary care healthcare provider. The transaction is valued at $3.9 billion, and is subject to customary closing conditions.
In a statement, Neil Lindsay, SVP of Amazon Health Services, said “Together with One Medical’s human-centered and technology-powered approach to health care, we believe we can and will help more people get better care, when and how they need it.”
On completion, Amir Dan Rubin will remain as CEO of One Medical, the companies said in a statement.
