Albertsons have inked a deal with retail technology startup Veeve to make their smart carts available to customers. The carts will be available at a few dozen stores across the country, say the companies, starting later this year.

The smart carts come with a touch screen that provides a running total for in-cart items and a built-in scale to weigh produce for purchase. Once done shopping, customers can complete payment on their cart itself.
